With so many stores taking part in Black Friday sales, beauty retailers and brands have partnered together to get a piece of that glorious black Friday dollar. This is the best time of year to try out new products and brands. Since I love learning about what’s new in beauty, I’ve created a round up of the most exciting sales and products.
At big beauty retailers, brands are developing exclusive products and sets that are only available in limited supply. A favorite of mine over the last few years has been the sets that Tarte releases; mini blushes and highlighters in new shades. Two years ago, I ordered three of their $10 blush and cream colour stick sets from Sephora and they are still some of my favorites.
Whether you’re trying to get a deal on a favorite product or you’re in the market to try new things without having to purchase the full size, these sets are practical buys. Plus, who doesn’t love having minis and travel sizes for travel?
Here are some of the things I plan on picking up as well as some great holiday shopping ideas. There are so many nice little stocking stuffers to surprise those you love with a little something special.
This post and the items included represent my taste and personal brand recommendations, but I’ve linked some other Black Friday beauty deal round ups below.
I’ll start with my favorite… The Chocolate Chip and White Chocolate Chip palettes from Too Faced. The White Chocolate Chip palette will be at Sephora on Black Friday and the other will be on Too Faced’s website.
NYX Advent calendar?! Sign me up. I don’t know if I could really see myself waiting to open one each day, but the element of surprise is super fun.
Philosophy can do no wrong with their holiday sets. They smell amazing and are perfect for traveling since the body washes are multi use.
I’ve been wanting to try some Skyn Iceland goodies, and five items for $15 seems like a great deal to me, even if it is kind of hard to tell what they are.
Tarte. Just… Yes. That blush or highlighter or whatever it is along with the lipstick and mascara? This one is a no brainer for me.
Is that gilded honey?! I’ve wanted to try this ever-popular highlighter, and the addition of a mascara and liner sweetens this deal.
This fragrance set thing (below) is something we’ve seen from Sephora, and I really like the way Ulta has done these sets. I can’t imagine that they include that many mini perfume bottles, which is a shame. They are probably just basic glass vials, so for $1 a piece plus an atomizer and a $5 off fragrance gift card, it’s a decent deal and a nice way to find a new favorite scent.
The only downfall is that unlike the Sephora deal, if you hate all but one fragrance, it doesn’t make sense to buy it. (Sephora’s sets are more expensive but offer a certificate for a full sized perfume that is often more than the cost of the set). If you like any of these scents or have a fragrance loving BFF or significant other, this could be a great buy.
You may notice a couple of Jack Black deals sprinkled throughout this post. I’ve come to love this brand (the lip balms are stellar) and my husband seems to like a lot of their other stuff I’ve purchased for him over the years.
Some of these Sephora deals are a ridiculous value! The Clarisonic brush heads are usually around $20, so getting to try a cleanser as well at a lower price point is nice.
I’ve been wanting to try the Cover FX drops and already love their primers, so this is a great opportunity to try them.
The Origins mask set is a great. I love their masks. If you or someone on your holiday shopping list is looking for a new favorite face mask, you might find it here.
Once again. ALL OF THE TARTE.
I’m quite curious about the Philosophy Detoxifying Oxygen peel and this would be a great chance to try it!
The Makeup Forever pallette isn’t quite in my wheelhouse in terms of colors, but I have heard great things about their shadows so I juuuust might.
If you’re looking for more, check the Ulta and Sephora apps and some of the following links.
Melt Cosmetics is offering 50% off on all products. I can’t recommend their eyeshadows and lipsticks enough! This actually ends 11/23.
GlamGlow is having a buy one get one free sale for full size products for Black Friday/Cyber Monday. Details TBA
Boscia will be offering buy one get one half off for cleansers and masks with code YESPLEASE
Temptalia and Noveau Cheap both have super comprehensive lists organized by brand that I highly recommend checking out. If you’re looking for a favorite brand, you can find out there what promotions they are running
